App-Based Control Simplifies Pool and Spa Management for Homeowners and Pool Professionals
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Intermatic LLC today announced the launch of its new Optimizer Pool and Spa Automation System, a versatile smart solution that allows users to remotely manage schedules and settings of variable-speed pool pumps, gas heaters, heat pumps, pool lighting, water features, landscape lighting, and more through the Optimizer app on compatible Android and iOS smartphones. Designed to support retrofit, remodel, and new construction applications, Optimizer can be paired with compatible pool equipment from leading pool brands to deliver a premium automation experience without replacing all existing pool equipment.

Familiar wiring and straightforward app controls make it a practical choice for upgrades and new installations alike.”
Optimizer has two available models, a Load Center model (OAL9S1) and a Power Center model (OAP9S1). The Load Center model is designed for new construction and includes an integrated 125 A load center with eight breaker spaces and nine auxiliary outputs, each controlled by a relay rated up to 3 HP. Alternatively, the Power Center model is best suited for retrofit, remodel, and automation replacement applications and includes 9 AUX outputs with 3 HP relays, without an integrated breaker base. Both models include a Type 3R rainproof metal enclosure and two Intermatic Valve Actuators (PE24GVA).
Once installed, homeowners and pool professionals can easily manage schedules, adjust equipment and lighting settings, and check equipment status through the Optimizer app. Automatic configuration backups make it easy to restore saved settings, while equipment records — including photos, labels, and receipts — help users organize information for maintenance and service.

Both Optimizer models are cULus certified for US and Canada and include a one-year limited warranty.

- Local and Remote Control – Use Optimizer to manage schedules and equipment settings for the entire pool pad through the Optimizer app on compatible Android and iOS smartphones. -Multi-Pump Control – Control up to seven compatible variable-speed pumps, with individual schedules and speed settings for filtration, spa, and water-feature applications.
- Equipment and Maintenance Records – Track pool equipment age, receipts, pictures, labels, and water chemistry reports via the Optimizer app for a single pool or multiple properties.
