Director of SIOP & Supply Chain Technology

SUMMARY:

The Director, SIOP & Supply Chain Technology will lead the rebuild and transformation of end-to-end Supply Chain planning capabilities for Intermatic globally. This role is accountable for designing and implementing an integrated SIOP process, selecting and implementing advanced planning system(s), and improving demand forecasting accuracy and inventory optimization to enhance Perfect Order and Working Capital performance.

This leader is strategic and hands-on, operating at the intersection of business process, data, and technology to drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SIOP Process Design & Implementation
  • Develop and implement a best-in-class SIOP process across demand, supply, inventory, and executive review cycles
  • Establish standardized planning cadences, including monthly SIOP and weekly demand/supply reviews
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between commercial, operations, and finance teams
  • Introduce scenario planning capabilities to support decision-making and trade-off analyses
  • Train and develop a team of Planners; build a bench of strong SIOP talent
2. Demand Planning
  • Improve forecast accuracy, including MAPE and bias, through process, data, and technology enhancements
  • Implement statistical forecasting models and demand sensing techniques
  • Integrate commercial inputs, including sales, marketing, and customer insights, into a consensus forecast
  • Segment demand, such as ABC/XYZ classification, to tailor forecasting approaches
  • Establish continuous improvement loops and forecast performance reviews
3. Inventory Optimization & Service Level Improvement
  • Design inventory strategies aligned with service level targets and working capital goals; tailor to manufactured and purchased parts
  • Optimize safety stock, reorder points, and multi-echelon inventory policies
  • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory while improving fill rates and OTIF
  • Balance trade-offs between cost, service, and risk in the planning process
  • Implement inventory visibility and control mechanisms across the network
4. Technology Platform Selection & Implementation
  • Lead evaluation and selection of a new planning system/tool, such as o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, etc.
  • Define business requirements, use cases, and ROI for system selection
  • Oversee implementation, integration with ERP and data lakes, and user adoption, especially with Distribution Center and Manufacturing Operations
  • Ensure data governance, master data integrity, and system scalability
  • Drive digital roadmap for supply chain planning capabilities
5. Change Leadership
  • Rapidly diagnose gaps in current planning processes, data quality, and systems
  • Stabilize planning with quick-win improvements, such as forecast discipline, inventory optimization, and safety stock level reviews
  • Lead organizational change management in Supply Chain and cross-functionally
  • Build planning capabilities within the team through training and hiring
  • Partner with executive leadership to align planning with financial goals
6. Analytics & Data Visualization
  • Define and track KPIs:
    • Forecast Accuracy / Bias
    • Inventory Turns / DOS
    • Service Level / OTIF
    • Plan / Schedule Adherence
  • Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks for real-time visibility within PowerBI
  • Leverage advanced analytics, including AI/ML where appropriate, for predictive insights
  • Enable data-driven decision-making across the supply chain


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years in supply chain planning, with leadership in SIOP/IBP
  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated success in transformations / realignments
  • Hands-on experience selecting and implementing planning systems (APS/IBP)
  • Strong track record improving forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and service level recovery


TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

  • Demand planning & forecasting methodologies
  • Supply planning & constraint management
  • Inventory optimization techniques
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Infor LX) and data integration
  • Strong understanding of data models, master data governance, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with digital supply chain trends (AI/ML, Control Towers)

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to influence without authority across functions
  • Change management expertise in manufacturing organizations
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability
  • High resilience and adaptability in ambiguous environments
