Shusterich Brings Diverse Manufacturing Experience and a Renewed Strategic Focus
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Intermatic LLC today announced the appointment of John Shusterich as Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Planning, a key addition that will bolster the organization’s strategic planning, process discipline, and execution rigor, as well as drive new growth initiatives. Shusterich brings a rich cross-industry background that includes extensive experience in automative manufacturing and energy storage.
Prior to joining Intermatic, Shusterich served as Director of Operations Strategy at Clarios, a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions. While at Clarios, he held a variety of operational roles focused on supply chain planning, customer account management, and sales strategy implementation. Shusterich also spent several years at Johnson Controls, where he led strategy and business transformation programs, including planning new product lines across multiple business groups. Shusterich began his career with Deloitte Consulting, where he delivered projects across multiple industry sectors, specifically focusing on manufacturing process improvements and organizational leadership.
“John adds incredible cross-industry experience to our team, and I’m confident his diverse background and skillset is going to make an immediate positive impact on our organization,” says Jim Gross, Chief Executive Officer at Intermatic. “He’s a natural people leader and will help us build our culture while executing at the highest standard as our business grows.”
In addition to his strong professional experience domestically, Shusterich has been involved in a variety of strategic international work, spending time in Germany, Mexico, and South Korea. He holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematical Economics and German from Marquette University.
“It’s clear Intermatic is at an inflection point right now, with all the right ingredients to elevate its leadership in the energy control and protection space,” says Shusterich. “It was a compelling opportunity to join the team, and I’m eager to hit the ground running as we strengthen our processes and systems, develop our people, and plan strategically for the years ahead.”
Shusterich succeeds Chuck Whitmer, who has retired from Intermatic after more than 16 years of leadership and service. We thank Chuck for his significant contributions to the organization and wish him all the best in his next chapter.
