You want to protect your investment in timers and time switches and decided to use enclosures. The market offers many options but how do you know which enclosure solution is the most efficient for your energy management needs?

Plastic Indoor  

E150: This plastic Type 1* enclosure has a hinged door and latch designed for mounting of all Intermatic and Grasslin time control products with a gray plastic finish.   

*Type 1 enclosures are general-purpose solutions meant for indoor use to provide a layer of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against falling dirt and other solid foreign objects, according to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).  

Steel Indoor  

2T2040GA: The steel indoor enclosure by Intermatic is rated Type 1 featuring a hasp with hole for seal or lock that holds the hinged door closed with convenient mounting holes.   

Steel Indoor/Outdoor  

2T511GA by Intermatic keeps your time switches safe from rain, snow, sleet and ice using a durable design with a side-hinged door and hasp for closing and locking the enclosure.

2T511GA: 9 ⅜ in. X 5 ½ in. X 3 ⅝ in., 2.5 lbs. 

2T2293GA: 12 ½ in X 8 ¼ in. X 3 ⅞ in., 4 lbs.  

Plastic Indoor/Outdoor  

This Type 3R* enclosure solution (2T2500GA, 2T2926A, E200, and E300) is ideal for indoor/outdoor usage. Its heavy-duty plastic enclosure is rainproof – making it a good fit for use in high humidity and dusty settings.   

*Type 3R enclosures are weather-resistant solutions for indoor or outdoor use that safeguard against falling dirt, and protect equipment from weather conditions like rain, sleet and snow and can also withstand formation of ice, as noted by NEMA.

2T2500GA:  9 ⅜ X 5 ½ X 3 ¾ inches, 1.3 lbs. 

2T2926A: 9 ⅜ X 5 ½ X 3 ¾ inches, 1.3 lbs. 

E200: 10 in. H x 6.5 in. W x 3.75 in. D  

E300: 8.795 in. H x 6.631 in. W x 2.935 in. D 

Flushmount 

This Type 1 rated-solution (2T308A and 2T2365GA) is meant for seamlessly adding the enclosure in the wall for a finished, sleek look. 

Product Specifications:  

2T308A: 9 1⁄8 inches H x 6 inches W x 4 1⁄8 inches D; flange 11 x 8 inches, 6.5 lbs.  

2T2365GA: 9 1⁄8 inches H x 6 inches W x 4 1⁄8 inches D; flange 11 x 8 inches, 7 lbs.
