Next Generation Time Switches

These electronic time switches provide to-the-minute programming for 7-day or full year load control. Features: 12/24 Hr clock format, 99 holiday schedules, and auto daylight savings time adjustment. 1, 2, and 4 circuit models feature 1,000+ ON/OFF events; 8 and 16 circuit models feature 4,000+ ON/OFF events.  Flexible load control is enhanced by Astro, Variable Pulse, and Interval options as required for outdoor lighting control, bell ringing and after hour temporary override respectively. Non-volatile memory maintains all programmed switching times for the life of the time switch. A factory installed field replaceable lithium battery maintains accurate time keeping and calendar information for a minimum of 8 years.

  • How do I update the firmware on my Next Generation Time Switch?
Download the latest firmware.  Before installing new firmware it is necessary to uninstall old firmware first.
  • What can I do with my Next Generation timer and the new Daylight Savings Time (DST) change?
If your Next Generation timer was manufactured before May 2002 you will have to disable the DST feature and manually change the time in the spring and fall. If your timer was manufactured between May 2002 and November 2006 there is a DST upgrade kit available to replace the EEPROM chip with the 2007 DST dates. Keep in mind that 2007 is a test year and the dates may revert back to the old dates next year. Be sure to retain the chip the kit replaces in case you need to reinstall it. If your timer was manufactured since November 2006 it has the 2007 dates already installed. If the dates revert back in 2008 you will have to change the chip next year.
